Week 12 at VIA

Throughout week 12 I began working on a show called “Our Town.” My work for this week consisted of cutting spot promos from interviewees in the show from Forty Fort, PA. The person would state their name, their relevance to the town of Forty Fort in some cases (such as, I’m principal of the school or I own such-and-such diner), and then the promo, which encouraged viewers to tune in to Our Town: Forty Fort on Monday, December 9 at 8 p.m. These spots were similar to others I’ve done, but I had to cut and add specific music for each one. I utilized the newly branded lower thirds for each, and I also had to add a logo graphic on the end plate. In order to make it more interesting, I added a drop shadow to the logo in Premiere and also created a movement so that the logo would grow slightly on the screen for the last 4 seconds or so. These spots ranged from 10-20 seconds depending on speed of the interviewee’s speech. At the end of the week I logged the spots in the VIA database to prepare them for Protrack and YouTube on Monday.
