This week has been my last week at VIA Public Media! I finished up the rest of the promos for December pledge, logged them into Protrack and transferred all my files (promos, opens, reels, radio files, etc) onto a flash drive and OneDrive so I can keep them in multiple locations for the future. Finally, I exported a draft of my production reel that I’ll send to employers, which is about 1 minute 40 seconds, includes a title slide with my name, school, email and phone number, some tagged promos, snippets of opens and Call The Doctor promos, little interviews with people for the show Our Town that went on VIA’s Youtube channel, a cut of a sizzle reel I made for the Little League Challenger Game, and an end slide with my email and phone number again. Before I leave today, Neil and I will discuss potential contacts he may know for internships in the future (we are looking at NYC and DC!).
I loved working for VIA and the people who work here – everyone was very supportive, friendly and helpful and it was obvious they wanted me to succeed. I am very grateful to have had this opportunity and look forward to future opportunities in the production world as well!
