Last week started with Jillian and I having a conference call for a little over an hour on Monday. We discussed all the things we’ve fallen behind on in the past two weeks being that Jillian has been pretty sick, so we caught up. We brainstormed some new tactics for posts, including utilizing apps to add motion to still photos, and other tactics that can enhance existing content for clients – especially useful in times like these when new content can’t always be readily produced.

We started in on the idea of reposting creators whose content we enjoy and fitting their content into our grid. This increases engagement, gives us a humanitarian feel and makes us more relatable/inspirational.

On Wednesday, my HP completely broke (it was a long time coming), so I finally caved and bought a MacBook – which drastically slowed me down toward the end of the week being that I was reduced to working on my phone only. For the remainder of the week I worked on scouting out content and creators whose posts align with our beliefs of aesthetic. I then had to shoot the account a DM to ask for permission to repost the photo or video (per Instagram rules) and then downloaded the approved content using the Repost app. I’ve been putting approved posts into Plann and crafting captions so when Jillian and I discuss again, we can look at the pending grid and decide which photos/videos look like they go together best, and then figure out the posting calendar from there.
